That shirt is more cheaper.

More + er

What is wrong with the following sentence?
That shirt is more cheaper.

This is a common mistake. Once you say more, do not add ‘er’.
The general rule: If the adjective has two or more syllables, use more, except for adjectives that end in -y (e.g. prettier, lovelier, sexier)
